I also wonder, what if I insert a measure or two in a track at a different timesignature at the equivalent speed. It will be interesting to see how this goes.

This is the aspect of music that I can't stand. For each 3 notes in 3/4 time, it will match 4 notes in 4/4 time. In theory, if you have a track in 3/4 time at 131.25 bpms, it will match up with a 4/4 track at 175. From my calculations if you take a Drum and Bass choon at 175 bpm and multiply it by 0.75, you come up with a value of 131.25. As each note has an enharmonic equivalent, appearantly time signatures share the same kind of interchangeablity. all the sudden I have become confused as another aspect of music becomes gray. I will experiment with cutting up as if it's a 3/4 time and see how the notes match up. But cutting the loop up at 180 bpm is not plausible. See, it loops fine at 180 bpm and the drums sound fine on top of it. But I suspose the emu could be confused the guitar part is actually at 180 bpm in 4/4 time. So I am figuring that it's got to be in 3/4 time. It starts to play the start of the sample again on those two beats toward the end. Then I have two beats at the end of the measure that are not accounted for.
If I play the sample at the bpm the emu said it's suppose to be, and the emu is spot on (it said 145). I have already tested the sample out and it sounds fine. But the missing piece is the 3/4 time signature.Īny ideas on where to change this would be great. There is track speed and then there is fixed speed, and I am figuring I can play the track with the 3/4 guitar at 145 and 4/4 stuff at 180 or so and it should line up. It looks like though, I can play two different tracks at different speeds, perhaps. how do you change the time signature to 3/4?I can't seem to find it anywhere. I should beable to use it as if it where a 4/4 but it will really be in 3/4. If I cut it as if it is 145 bpm and I get 12 pieces and loop it in 3/4 time close to the original temp, maybe bump it up a bit and play the other stuff in my track at the 4/4 speed, if that is even possible. If I cut it up into 16ths at this speed however, it's going to sound bad due to gaps and such. However, this loop works really well at 180 bpm. I also figured out that if you play a 3/4 time at 145 bpm it matches up with a 4/4 time at about 193 bpm. I figure I need to cut that guitar loop (which is at 145 bpm per emu beat munger) up into 12th to equal the 16's I had initially cut the loop up at. So that is why I am figuring the guitar loop is written in 3/4 time. I had cut it up last night into 16ths and it sounded really good, however, after six quarter notes it looped.
